Do both the Solaris and Windows users need card-based session mobility/affinity?
If not, you can have card users in CAM mode and non-card users not (or
vise-versa).
You could then set up CAM to run a wrapper script to launch
uttsc/rdesktop/citrix/etc. and leave non-CAM alone for the Solaris
users.
I've done this in multiple sites and it works wonderfully.

Oh, I forgot to mention... to reach the remote systems from the
dtlogin screen, click the "Options" menu, "Remote Login" submenu, then
either "Enter Host Name ..." or "Choose Host From List ...".

Keep in mind that this is raw X over the network, so it's a ton of
traffic. If you want the traffic to be lighter, you can create a
.profile for the users to vnc them to the remote system.

If security is a concern (remote X and vnc are both insecure
protocols), you can go a step further and automatically set up an ssh
tunnel between the SRS and the system to be displayed and launch
vncserver with the -localhost option, so all traffic is authenticated
and encrypted, and nicely compressed. If you do this, I recommend
using blowfish encryption, as it's considerably faster than the others
that ssh supports.

Hi

We are thing of moving all our SunRays over to CAM so that users can
choose to access either a Windows box or a Unix box.

Connecting to the Windows box is straight forward with uttsc but what is
the best way of connecting to a unix box either the SunRay server itself
or another unix server? Xnest might be one option.

We are thinking about using Secure global desktop but it might be too
complicated. Is there a native client for SunRay?

Thanks in advance
