Thanks for the info Otto...  looks like I will be asking for [EMAIL PROTECTED] support...

Regarding bug 6412036, I ran 'utsettings' and in the terminal window I see the following error message:

bash-3.00$ ./utsettings
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 512
        at SettingsGUI.set_control_value(SettingsGUI.java:1759)
        at DevControl.find_info(DevControl.java:1010)
        at DevControl.run(DevControl.java:1444)

What are the details regarding this bug?

Is there a list of supported monitors that have been tested with the Sun Ray 2 and Sun Ray 2FS clients somewhere?  How can I be sure that a given monitor will work with our Sun Ray 2's at the optimum resolution for the monitor?  We are now considering purchasing some different monitors as well as some of the Sun Ray 2FS clients (for the built-in multihead support) and want to be sure that the monitors we purchase will work at the optimum resolution for the Sun Ray 2 clients.....

Thanks in advance...

-Ken

Sun Ray does not know how to drive 1440x900.  You could open a
support call and ask for that timing to be added.  (Presumably you
want 1440x900 at a 60Hz refresh rate.)

"Standard" is the fallback timing, currently [EMAIL PROTECTED], that Sun
Ray uses when it gets no DDC response from the monitor or when
it does not understand the DDC response.  Any VESA-compliant
monitor is supposed to be able to sync to that timing, so at least you
should be able see something on-screen.  However, in this case I
bet it's a red herring, the SR2 is not really driving 640x480.  I bet
what's happening is ...

... that you're being bitten by bug 6412036.  If you run 'utsettings'
from a terminal window in the SR2 session, what happens in the
terminal window?

1280x1024 is the largest timing that Sun Ray knows about that
is acceptable to this monitor.  The next larger one is 1400x1050
and that's too big.
