Yes.  Or maybe if you say what keyboard you're interested
in, someone might already have tried it or can figure out
from the spec (if the spec is available) whether it will work.

The USB standardised keycodes for keyboard Volume keys
are on page 57 of the USB HID Usage Tables document at
<http://www.usb.org/developers/devclass_docs/Hut1_12.pdf>.
Unfortunately that's not enough to guarantee success
because keyboard manufacturers are free to use other
mechanisms than this.

While we're on the topic, the other big gotcha with most
third-party keyboards is that they don't report a proper
localised layout code.  They report layout code 0, and the
server can only have one "code 0" keytable, so all of your
code 0 keyboards had better have the same layout.
