I have 2 Dell 2407WFP's connected to a SunRay 2FS. The monitors seem to always sync by default at 1600x1200, but a quick trip to utsettings fixes that problem. However, on the second monitor port there doesn't seem to be a way to reset it's resolution. I suspect the 2FS's are having trouble with the DDC that it is sending out. 1920x1200 is the native resolution for this monitor and it works just fine at that setting after running utsettings.
I tried the utxconfig command, and that did not fix the second monitor. It just creates a really strange desktop with one monitor at 1920x1200 and the other one panning and scanning around at a wide screen 1600x1200.
/opt/SUNWut/bin/utxconfig -l
DIMENSIONS=3840x1200
ENABLE_PSEUDOCOLOR_VISUAL=no
DEFAULT_PSEUDOCOLOR_VISUAL=no
ENABLE_MULTISCREEN=yes
ENABLE_XINERAMA=no
ENABLE_XKB=no
SCREEN_GEOMETRY=2x2
SCREEN_ORDER=auto
Any other ideas? Are there any commands that debug the DDC that the monitor is sending out?

Not directly, not yet.
You should be able to get the result you're looking for by using
'utxconfig' to force a 3840x1200 X desktop. Use
'utxconfig -r 3840x1200 -s off', then log out and log back in. The
2FS should then choose monitor timings that will show as much
as possible of that desktop, which should be 1920x1200 on both
monitors *provided that* the monitor is reporting 1920x1200 as a
supported timing via DDC.
