There's a known issue with 'utresadm' and the 2FS regardless of
whether the timing is a built-in or a custom definition. The issue
is that utresadm knows nothing about the second output on the
2FS, so it ends up forcing the timing for the first output only and
sizing the session's X server to fit entirely on the first head.

This is being worked on but i don't know when the fix will be
available. It's very unlikely to be in the next 3.1 patch, it might
just possibly be in the patch after that.

Until the fix is available the best you can do is to use 'utresadm'
to force the timing on the first head and then use 'utxconfig' to
force the X desktop dimensions so that the X desktop is large
enough that it spills over onto the second head. This assumes
that you can live with different timings on the two heads: the
second head will be driven with whichever built-in timing is
supported by the monitor and maximises the amount of X
desktop that will be presented on the monitor. Try
'utxconfig -r 2880x900', log out and log in again.
