Hi,
I'm currently using SRSS 3.1.1 with Ubuntu Edgy. I followed the
scripts on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuOnSunRay with minor
adjustments. I have some problems with sound, caused by dash, that is
the symbolic link to /bin/sh. I had to use the sound modules provided by
Sunray Debian howto to get it work. After this little work, everything
worked fine.

Either of the two above statements ends in this:
Error: not installed package is not installed. This is the Binary
File Format data module used to store the DHCP data. This
package is required for SunRay interface configuration.
Any ideas? Anyone else trying 3.1.1 on Edgy?
Thanks,
Scot
Check out https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuOnSunRay and take a
look at the patches. You have to comment out installation and version
checks in some scripts to make SRSS work with Ubuntu/Debian.
Sebastian
I thought that since 3.1.1 is supposed to work with 2.6 kernels, that
there would be much less patching. But I will go through the patches
and see which seem to apply.
I worry a bit about the .rpm to .deb conversion. I don't the post
"fixup" gets converted. I don't know if that makes a difference.
Thanks,
Scott
