Amber lights mean hardware POST failure. Since there's really nothing user serviceable in the SRs, yeah, it's trashcan time.
If it's a SR1, it might be the power supply capacitor problem which you can repair yourself. http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/sunray/caps-repair.html But given that these things are only $25 on Ebay, it might not be worth the hassle unless you enjoy tinkering. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:sunray-users- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Simovic > Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2006 2:22 AM > To: 'SunRay-Users mailing list' > Subject: [SunRay-Users] Sunray has permanent Orange light > > Does this mean it is dead or is there something I can do to resurrect it? > > > Kind Regards > > > _______________________________________________ > SunRay-Users mailing list > [email protected] > http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
