Yes utmountd is running.  When I pop in a usb stick utdiskadm -l sees it
right away.  However I then have to manually mount the device to a mount
point using utdiskadm -m <DEVICE> -p <MOUNT_POINT>, then the device is
readable/writable and shows in a df -k.  I know by default (if I don't use
the -p flag in utdiskadm the mount in /tmp/SUNWut/...., but we want to mount
them in a users home dir (and yes, I still have to run utdiskadm -m <DEVICE>
even to have it mount in the default location.  Thanks for the help thus
