If both machines are running Solaris then yes, configuring them
as members of the same SRSS group is supported. However,
you should think carefully about the impact on your users before
you set up this kind of mixed-architecture group.

The issue (completely independent of SRSS) is that some
applications are available only for one of the two architectures,
while other applications are available at different versions on the
different architectures and/or have implicit architecture
dependencies. The two latter issues can lead to trouble if the
users have a single unified (say, NFS-mounted or even rsync'ed)
home directory and the application gets launched on the SPARC
machine one day and on the x86 the next, or if the users expect
to be able to exchange arbitrary files with other users.

You can hit similar issues in a Linux group, depending on the
version skew between the different Linuxes, desktops and
applications. SRSS will be happy but your users might not be.

Mixing Solaris and Linux machines in the same SRSS group is
not supported. That's because of the feature disparity between
SRSS-on-Solaris and SRSS-on-Linux.
