Hi Cristian,
>From the advice of a Sun Ray guru (he will recognize itself ;-) )
- The sizings are per cpu based. Recent evidence shows that we can
assume that per cpu also means per core – ie a single cpu, dual core
box is the same as a dual cpu, single core box;
- Final, definitive sizing can only be achieved through a pilot;
- Final, definitive sizing can only be achieved through a pilot.
Recently I have done some sizing exercise based on that :
- 10 to 15 users / CPU (core)
- X Mo per user (depend on what must run on the SunRays Desktop)
- It's also very important to know the % of concurrent users,
because the server that support X concurrent connections can support
more Sun Ray Desktop if we have 50% concurrent connexions !!
I hope that these will help,
best regards,
Kamal
