Sure you could do that by reservations, but why have the Sun Ray server assign addresses at all? If you do utadm -A, dhcp gets configured but only to hand out sun ray specific information only to Sun Rays not addresses. Or even utadm -L on and use dns or the dhcp options (49 or 66) to point the Sun Rays to the Sun Ray Server.

Hello,

we need to run SRS on a LAN interface (not dedicated to SRS) (two DHCP servers on the same subnet) and therefore need to make sure, that the SRS DHCP server assigns IP addresses to Sun Rays only, but not to other hosts (actualy Linux machines) in the subnet.

We googled but found nothing so far. Is it possible to force SRS DHCP to assign addresses to only a given set of MAC-addresses (actually the MAC addresses of the DTUs)?

Thanks a lot,

 Andreas
