Can you tell me what you actually did?  I have the daemons running and
the modules loaded, but that isn't enough.  I have to kill esd (if it's

$UTAUDIODEV.   And only then do I get audio with some apps.  I'd like to

Did you make all of the changes to the scripts (zsunrayinit and
gnome-session-sunray) to do with /tmp/.esd files, permissions and esd
startup?

Also, I did set xmms to use the esd sink..

Which applications are not providing audio? I also have a speaker
hooked up to my server so I can hear if the apps are sending the audio
to the server sound device.


Is there something in the Gnome startup that can be tweaked?  Not just
to get esd fired up right, but things that don't seem to talk to esd.
