is there a way to control usb usage per dtu? it seems like there should be a function for this in addition to the global on/off setting.
how can we get sun to put $500,000,000 into sun ray like they did for solaris 10? i know people would love these things as much as i do, if sun/we could make them more accessible and as easy to use as mac os x - and as welcoming visually. i work in an upscale publishing company full of macs... the sales staff however is on sun rays and for the most part they are great... but oh how i would love to have all of the benefits of sun ray with the polish of os x. there is a market for this... others just need to know about it. everyone i have shown these things too thinks they are really neat although i shield them from the fact that you can't fully use your iPod with them or particular version of adobe software. what do we have to do to put these things on the map in a new way? i am chomping at the bit to get the final build of nv/opensolaris/solaris 11 out to everyone... soon as it's out i'll be recommending it in place of ubuntu. it is getting so solid and clean. Apple was nothing to consumers before the ipod was introduced several years ago... and now they are desired machines... if people knew how convenient sun ray's would be to use around the house... keeping the same files with you anywhere in the house is just amazing (i have 3 sunrays around the house) and slim server from room to room - so cool. i even do slim server at work - (much thanks to thinguy.) in this day and age looks matter - the design of everything sun has been doing latly has been top-notch...from their web site to their servers... i have an x4200 and it has got to be the best looking, most well designed server i have ever come across... to the new sun ray dtu's - they are so sharp and so small... solaris - your day is coming. i still kinda wish sun and apple would become snapple... imagine a new version of the 270 - a 23 or 30" cinema ray!!! i am willing to open up forums as i currently own alot of domain names, i am willing to start any kind of grass-roots or main-stream interest campaign. is there anyone else out there who can provide direction? _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://node1.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
