users needs to use uttsc -r disk:<drive name>=<mount path of cdrom>
<windows server name>
to view the mounted CDROM contents on Windows session.
However, AFAIK there is no way to eject the cdrom connected to Sun Ray
DTU from windows session. I am not sure that is possible either with
mstsc RDP client or open source rdesktop.
Thanks

Dear Mr. Swamiji,
uteject works, but the problem here is users are using Windows (using
RDP with Sun connector uttsc) on thinclients, is there any procedure
or setting to be performed at SRSS server side so that users may use
their external cdroms as they use it on any pc.
thanks and regards,
Junaid.

Subject: External Cdrom problem in Sunray Clients
To: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
Hi,
I have tried to install an external CD-Rom on to a thin client
and faced
some problems while doing this.
·
Once we insert a CD into the CD-Rom, we couldn't take the CD
outside. After
that we have to turn the power off and power on the external CD
Drive to
eject. · Once we view the files in a CD, the information stays in the
specified drive even if the CD is taken out.
· The main problem is that the files in the CD can be viewed by
all the thin
client users.
Can anyone please help me to resolve this issue.
thanks and regards,
Junaid.
