Hi P.S.M,

Can you elaborate ? Is it a matter of LD_PRELOADing the right
sunray library ?
AFAICT there is no workaround if the issue is similar to CR#6480801.

Thanks

Or the Sun Ray functions conflict with Ubuntu libraries like how it happens
with Nevada as mentioned in the CR#6480801.

Did you or did you not install the libsasl - HMAC MD5 Encryption library.
The Ubuntu instructions on the Ubuntu wiki suggest installing them. I was
able to turn on encryption and server auth without installing that library
on Edgy.

Hi Bob,

java is from the supplemental pack

Java version "1.4.2_12"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_12-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_12-b03, mixed mode)

yes /etc/opt/SUNWut/jre/bin/java auth.utauthd.utauthd
runs ... (I don't get a connection at all if it does not run, right ?)

I do get a connection but the 26 D remains on screen and nothing
happens (normally the green markers would show up)

Hi,

I have setup srss 3.1.1 on ubuntu edgy and things work about right,
except for the encryption part.

as soon as I run

utcrypto -a enc_down_type=none enc_up_type=ARCFOUR
auth_down_type=simple
utrestart

Is utauthd still running at this point?

Did you install the Java version in the
SRSS Supplemental area? What does:
/etc/opt/SUNWut/jre/bin/java -version
say?

-Bob

I can not get a connection anymore ... the sunray remains in 26 D

once I do

utcrypto -d
utrestart

things go back to normal again ...

any ideas on how to debug this ... I found not complaints in any of
the logs ...

cheers
