Hello,

I am trying to get sound on SunRay. My system is Fedora 5 (x86_64)/SRSS 3.1.1. The directory /lib/modules/<version>/misc contains all necessary modules:

utadem.ko* utdiskctl.ko* utdisk.ko* utio.ko*

and all of them are loaded. When I log in I have AUDIODEV set to /tmp/SUNWut/dev/utaudio/utdsp-0 and this device exists. However, I can't play any sound file.

When I try the command mpg321, ALSA is complaining about non-existent device. I learned by googling that I should use esd, but when I try to run the deamon I get an error message:

~> esd -d $AUDIODEV
- using device /tmp/SUNWut/dev/utaudio/utdsp-0
esd: Esound sound daemon unable to create unix domain socket:
/tmp/.esd/utdsp-0/socket
The socket is not accessible by esd.
Exiting...

So, what should I do to make it work?

Hana
