For the APAC Region we could add SunRay as a Mini-Conf to the LCA late
January 2008 in Melbourne.

Sun has often sponsored the Gnome mini conf which occurs prior to the
main event. Sun's Glynn Foster of Gnome and OpenSolaris boards fame
usually attends these events as well.
