Same here! I've been working with Wine for awhile, and been very
disappointed. While it works great on Linux (even for video games), I
haven't been able to get any of the Solaris ports to work at all!
Lately, I've been having a lot of success with Wine and Cedega under

Rays at home now, or only at work?
Both! I've found that it's extremely convenient to get up in the
morning, starting to check my email on the Sun Ray in my bedroom, go
downstairs for coffee, and continue checking my email on the Sun Ray in
the kitchen.
I've never heard of Cedega...I will have to check it out.
It is the new name for the WineX project, which aims to get 3D games
working under emulation.
