Does not appear to be a Sun Ray/SRWC issue.

Sounds like you can easily recreate on another thin client or even a PC using the RDP client.

Work-around, create a GPO to disable to this feature in word and outlook.

Type 7 keyboard, but I just tested a generic USB keyboard and it had the
same problem, FW version: 3.1_120879-06_2007.03.13.15.14

To replicate this problem: Hit the caps lock key, with Outlook (or MS
Word as well) Autocorrect feature "Correct accidental use of cAPS LOCK
key" is checked, start typing by trying to capitalize the first letter
of the word (i.e. Test (caps lock off)= tEST (caps lock on)). Outlook
will autocorrect the problem, turning caps lock off. In a normal rdp
session, this would turn the caps lock LED off on the keyboard. However,
on these sunray2's the light stays on.
As I said, it's kinda rare, but our helpdesk has seen it more than once,
so I was curious if anyone else had seen this.
Thanks for any info,

David

Just for the records, what is the firmware version of your DTUs? As
well, are you using a Sun Type 7 keyboard? If not, which one do you use?

We're deploying SunRay2's in a CAM-mode rdp environment (smart-card points to RDP session via SRWC) and ran across a unique (though rare) problem that may be related to SRWC.

Here's the deal: A user logs into their rdp session (using SRWC 1.1), starts up Microsoft Outlook and begins typing with the caps-lock on. Outlook's auto-correct feature immediately removes caps-lock after typing one word in all caps, but the LED on the keyboard stays on, thereby confusing the user and making it necessary to log out (and re-run the CAM script) to fix the problem. Has anybody ever seen this before? Should I go and fill out a bug report on this?
