I have two RHEL4 U5 Linux sunray servers (Version 3.1.1) that I need in a
failover group. Both have the same gmSignature and I told it to configure
failover in utconfig.

Using the FQDN on both servers I tried to configure puffball as primary and
pinky as secondary.
On the primary server, puffball.nsgdp.sandia.gov, I ran 'utreplica -p
pinky.nsgdp.sandia.gov' and the 'utreplica -l' outputs:
puffball.nsgdp.sandia.gov is a primary server for
pinky.nsgdp.sandia.gov

On the secondary server, pinky, I ran 'utreplica -s puffball.nsgdp.sandia.gov'
and it proceeded to configure the utreplica, but during the configuration when
the sunray services restart, pinky's sunray services won't come back. A ps -ef
|grep utauth returns nothing. BUT, utreplica -l on pinky states:
pinky.nsgdp.sandia.gov is a secondary server:
The primary server is: puffball.nsgdp.sandia.gov

I try running /etc/init.d/utsvc start and it states that it's starting
Authentication services, but utauthd doesn't start and there are no messages or
errors reported to auth_log. After a utreplica -u on pinky I still cannot get
sunray services started until I run utadm -r and run utconfig -u and
reconfigure it from the start, utconfig and utadm -a eth1.

utgstatus on primary shows
puffball.nsgdp.sandia.gov TN 134.218.177.13. -AM 172.16.10.3 UAM
pinky.nsgdp.sandia.gov TN 134.218.177.124 -AM 172.16.10.4 -AM
134.218.177 is the public network 172.16.10 is the private sunray network.

Any ideas why I cannot restart sunray services after configuring failover on
the secondary? utreplica logs show a clean setup on both servers?

Thanks for any advice
Suzanna
