Gavin, You say that you have CAM setup currently for non-smartcard sessions, what do you have setup for card based sessions?
If you have Solaris, then you will need to be using the latest beta Sun Ray software, register your card and then in the new admin GUI associate the card with a CAM session rather than a normal Solaris session. What does you current CAM session look like? You will then need to modify your existing CAM script to check the value of your Sun Ray token and if it matches yours do a "uttsc -m <ip or name of your XP VM>" else do the normal set of CAM commands for all the other users. A better alternative is to write a generic RDP cam script that check the "Other Info" field of the smartcard, using that as the hostname to connect to using uttsc (see the VDA kiosk CAM script as an example on how to do this). If you want help modifying your CAM script, email me off list with a copy of it an I will see what I can do. Paul On 05/07/07, Gavin Spurgeon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hi All, I have a question that I thought the list might be able to help me with.. I have a SunRay 270 on my desk, I also now have 2x V40z's setup with VMWare VI3 running some VM (1 is an XP VM, that I would like to use for this question) The question is... Can I setup so that if I insert my Sun Java Card into my 270 I would get the XP VM (via RDP) and then if the JC is not inserted it will stay as CAM (witch is already setup and running fine) ? Now just to make I a bit more interesting, if I use me JC in any SunRay I would still like to get my XP VM, but if any other user uses a JC it will not give them My VM... The only way I think I could do this is with the Sun VDI Kit, but I think that might be a bit over kill just for me and this one XP VM.. Any pointers would be great...
