Hi all,
A bit confused with SRSS 4.0 u2 BETA kiosk Mode function and the
application setup. I read PDF Admin doc which stated Descriptor and
Script files.
So, i gave a try on setting Mozilla to launch in Kiosk Mode. Here are
what i have done:
1) Launch SR Admin GUI.
2) Navigate to Advanced and Kiosk Mode tab.
3) Click Custom Path /usr/sfw/bin/mozilla
4) Choosed Executable
5) Start Mode "User".
6) Click Ok.
Note: I can choose calculator and Charater Map in Predefined Descriptor.
From SR170 client, i managed to launch the Mozilla Browser. In
preferences i changed the home page to www.google.com. Then i exit the
kiosk session. Again i launched the browser but i saw the home page
changed to www.sun.com. To solve this issue, on my other server runs
SRSS_3.1 i usually create a prototype .mozilla file.
Question:
1) How can i launch Mozilla with my default settings ?
2) From user SR170 Kiosk Session, how can i name the application name
to Mozilla and how can i add Mozilla icon ?
3) Can anyone give me some example on what aplications i can use the
Decriptor and Script files(/etc/opt/SUNWkio/sessions) ? Appreciate if i
can get the how-to file.
I would like to explore SRSS 4.0 u2 Beta software.
