Yes - the Solaris 10 8/07 release notes will include a notice that
Xsun may not be included in future versions of Solaris. (It should
be there through all remaining S10 update releases at least, since
we don't normally remove features in update releases.)
As for your experience, I'm not sure what problems you've had - most
users on Solaris x86 have found Xorg to have better hardware support,
more features, and more stability. If that's not been your experience,
please let us know what bugs you've hit so we can work on them.
You can file bugs against X on Solaris at bugs.opensolaris.org under
the "xserver" category.
