Hi all, I've noticed that on our sunray servers, the following files are
world writeable, with a sticky bit.
Permissions are -rwxrwxrwt for /var/opt/SUNWbb/updntmp and
/var/opt/SUNWbb/tmp
My question is, do they need to be left as world writeable? Its causing
some flack with security department
Is it okay to change permissions on them from 1777 to 1775?
Does your security department have problems with /tmp being 1777?
If not, you could recreate the file in /tmp on boot and maintain a
symbolic link?
Peace... Sridhar
