Hi,

How hard or how bad is it to run SRSS on Redhat Linux or Fedora Core?
Solaris 10 x86 seems to be a bad idea at the moment. Solaris idea of OS
patching is a joke compared to YUM. And do I really need to use 64-bit OS
if I don't need more than 3GB of RAM?

Hi Alan,

for OpenSuSE i can say that's easy (although i don't use all features). One point you should be aware of though is that unsupported linuxes are unable to do a firmware upgrade to your DTUs. Maybe somebody else can tell if that works with Fedora?

I thought it should work if the tftp rpm is installed. Did you have tftp rpm installled
and seen firmware upgrade is not working?.

Thanks
