You can look at MUSCLE. http://linuxnet.com/ Although I'm unaware of
anyone who has rolled it out in a Sun Ray environment. But the guys @
TrustBearer Labs are awesome folks, you might get some help there.
Regarding the post you mention, it may have worked for that specific
release of SRSS, with that release of Solaris, using certain versions of
the now EOL SRCOM bypass. It was never intended to do anything other
allow simple logons to Sun Blade workstations. It is not supported, not
QA'd, and even Solaris I believe has begun to remove OCF which is
required to make it work. It is by no means an enterprise solution.

Ok, If I need middleware or to code, Isn't there some freeware software
or code I may use? Or if it's about coding, can someone tell me where I
can get started? maybe some tutorial or manual or where to look.
And other thing, I saw a page where it was explained how to do what I
wanted:
http://wiki.sun-rays.org/index.php/Personalizing_Smart_Cards_for_use_with_the_Sun_Ray_Ultra_Thin_Terminals
but it says that it is "unsupported", I couldn't get it working but I've
seen some posts telling that it IS possible:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg02324.html
So if he could, why to say it's not possible?
Or maybe is there some posibility of accomplish what I want any other
way? or the only way possible is the middleware?
It's just it is so weird that solaris provide functionality so easy on
the sunblade but on sunray doesn't, even when the services and
configurations are supported the same (i mean, both have ocfserv,
pam.conf, smartcard terminal, IFD reader etc... so why not?)
I really appreciate your response thanks to all!!!!

The method that you use for Sun Blades is incompatible with Sun Ray.
You'll need middleware (Such as ActivIdentity) and smart cards supported
by the middleware. The payflex cards will not work for this.

The instructions in the Solaris SmartCard Admin guide do not apply to
Sun Ray. In order to get authenticated smartcard-based login, you'll
need to install (or write) a smartcard middleware stack.
