Unfortuantly using cde then logging into a terminal server gives strange
alt+mouse button behaviour minimising the window & moving it around the
screen. The old 3.1 did not do this.
The generic x session script I saw a post for the other week works well
though. The cam chooser script looks quite nice without a window manager
but the fonts are much smaller.

Yes, this will work just fine.

You can choose CDE and then create another app pointing to the script,
or if you don't want a windowing manager just create a new session
descriptor.
