There was a post about this a few months back with no resolution. Just
to cover it again using cam mode, uttsc & a windows terminal server.
Original post below:-
Here's the deal: A user logs into their rdp session (using SRWC 1.1),
starts up Microsoft Outlook and begins typing with the caps-lock on.
Outlook's auto-correct feature immediately removes caps-lock after
typing one word in all caps, but the LED on the keyboard stays on,
thereby confusing the user and making it necessary to log out (and
re-run the CAM script) to fix the problem. Has anybody ever seen this
before? Should I go and fill out a bug report on this?
Now this is reproducable every time and is a major problem for us. I
have never seen it happen in a normal rdp session. I have tested also
with srwc 1.1, 2 and srs 3.1 & 4 with no difference.
However using rdesktop or the citrix ica client it works much better.
If the caps lock is accidently left on the the shift key seems
disabled for characters so it seems impossible for windows to try to
reverse the caplock. In all the testing I have done so far I have not
managed to get this reverse caps lock problem so it loks to me like a
uttsc problem. Is it possible to get uttsc to behave in the same
manner as rdesktop ?
