I like to ask everyone on this list to go to following link http://www.adobe.com/support/feature.html and vote for a more recent version of Acrobat Reader on Solaris x86.

There is also a blog for Adobe Reader on Unix. http://blogs.adobe.com/acroread/2007/08/launching_the_adobe_reader_on.html

Thanks,
Erik

Hello All,

I'm running Solaris 10 U4 x86 on my SunRay server, and I was wondering
if anyone out there can help.

First, font rendering in JDS's PDF viewer is hopelessly broken. When I
attempt to bring up a Sun document, the fonts are barely legible.

Second: when I attempt to print a PDF to one of Solaris' print queues,
the jobs go to some blackhole, and never appear... All of my printers
print just fine in any other application.

I know that Adobe seems to refuse to compile an x86 version of Reader,
but I was wondering if anyone has successfully found any better
alternatives.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
~Bob
