If you want to deploy Kiosk's you should use the KIOSK mode built
into the software.
Basically you do the follwoing:
utinstall ( whichyou obviosluy have done )
/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utadm -A IPnet-number - probably also done
Deploy the Apache/tompact webserver image shipped in the
supplemental directory on the SRS4 cd/image. in /opt
/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utconfig - say yes to all questions for web
administration .
Reboot to reastart every thing and let the webserver admin IF startup.
http://localhost:1660
Go in there and activate the KIOSK setup under ADVANCED.
Select GNOME for kiosk setup something like 100.000 K ram and 10
MB for files,
Configure a few apps " /usr/lib/firefox/firefox "
Set the POLICY in the POLICY tab that all NON-CARD USERS shoud
use KIOSK mode.
run a coldstart from the servers tab.
Now your KIOSK mode should be running.

Hello,
We recently purchase 20-Sunray 2 devices and I'm trying to
disable/bypass the dtlogin/dtgreet processes. If any of you can share
any info on this I'll appreciate it -- I only want to disable the
login for any Xsun process launched through the utxsun script.
Also, I experiencing really slow video performance from sites like
Youtube, CNN and Real.com -- Is this normal? We were considering
deploying these devices as replacements for some desktops, but this is
becoming a really hard sell.
I'm running these on 3-X4200's with 16-gb ram each.
Thanks,
-Jeff
