As already mentioned in a different thread we are having problems with
restarting sessions or sun ray service. To get a picture what is
happening and why, I would like to know what is executed when a Sun
Ray is connected to the server. When I look at the running processes
after reboot I see that there is a GDM started by init and multiple
gdm processes, one for each sun ray connected, started by the initial
GDM. There are also Xnewt and gdmgreeter processes running. When I do
utrestart -c, all the gdm, Xnewt and gdmgreeter processes are
terminated, only the initial gdm (started by init) is still there. I
can now do whatever I want, the sun ray hangs in 26D until I reboot
the server.
Why is GDM not spawning new gdm's and Xnewt's? That's what I'd like to
find out. Can you shed some light on it?

Thank you in advance,

Knut
