My apologies, I just found somebody who knows the actual installation and configuration of SRSS on these machines much better than myself and he is confirming that 'kiosk mode' is definitely NOT enabled. So I would assume that these parts of the pam.d rules should be silently passing.
I did uncover another error which is pointing me more in the direction of an LDAP configuration error; I will reply as to the information contained in the last few messages on here with more just as soon as I post some information to openldap's group. :) Thanks for the help, you guys. If nothing else you're helping speed up my learning curve on this subject. -Damon
