Well, you're right... I think... I commented out everything SRSS and the behavior was the same. Then I noticed that if I commented out other things that it still didn't change the behavior. Finally I did a chmod 000 /etc/pam/gdm* and tried it... It STILL AUTHENTICATES through local files but not LDAP, so it's not even using those rules.
