Greetings,
Turns out I was somewhat premature in my earlier assertion that the
switch to Xnewt had cured my Multihead+XINERAMA memory usage issues...
At the link below is some info/stats from an Xnewt session that's been
going for a few days now, and has climbed to about 1GB of memory usage
in that time. It's a set of 3 Sun Ray 2 DTUs in a multihead group with
XINERAMA turned on. While it has a 1GB memory footprint, xrestop can
only account for around 138MB of pixmaps (which is presumably a somewhat
imperfect measure of actual resource use.)

I intend to submit the above as feedback during the beta programme - are
there any other pertinent pieces of information I've missed? Is anybody
else experiencing issues like this with Xnewt? (For the record, we
experience a more pronounced version of the above behaviour with Xsun
and SRS 4.0 + MH + XINERAMA.)
Cheers.
