Have you tried manually mounting the directories on the nis clients that are failing? (taking NIS/automount out of the loop for to possibly help narrow down the problem). Are you getting any errors if you try to su to one of your users on the RH4 box (no such file or directory, permission denied, etc)?

Hey Guys need some NIS help.
My NIS client is not mounting user's home directory from NIS master server. I have other few NIS client and they work fine. NIS client not working == Redhat Release 4
NIS master servers == Solaris 9
Other NIS Client working == Redhat Release 3
