I would check for network packet loss, using utcapture or some other tool.
BTW, the keyboard equivalent for control-moon for PC keyboards is

I have approximately 70 SunRays on a dedicated network. I am running
SRSS 4.0 with path 127553-03 on 5 SunRay servers running Solaris 10
sparc. Occasionally, perhaps 4 to 5 times a day, one of the SunRays
will get a 26D icon bouncing around the screen, even after they have
logged in. If they have a Sun keyboard, a control-moon will clear it,
but those with PC keyboards have to power the appliance down for 5 to 10
seconds for the icon to clear.
I tracked which servers they were connected to and which servers they
got there IP address from and there is no correlation. I get addresses
from all the servers.
Any ideas what might be causing this or how to troubleshoot the problem
would be appreciated.
