Subject: [SunRay-Users] Linux and PC/SC Passthrough?
Good Morning-
Does PC/SC Passthrough work with a Linux Sun Ray server? I see
specific PC/SC software for passthrough in Solaris, and had been
under
the impression that it "just worked" in Linux with its native PC/SC
libraries and daemon, but it isn't so far.
Any ideas?
Your e-email was forwarded to me.
What do you mean 'passthru'?
Sun has a Solaris and Sun Ray platform-specific port of MUSCLE's open
source PC/SC-lite project.
We currently don't have a Linux port of PC/SC-lite, which implies that
Sun doesn't offer
PC/SC-lite for Linux-hosted Sun Ray servers.
PC/SC-lite for Solaris can be found on http://Sun.COM by searching for
the term pcsclite
You can build your own version of PC/SC-lite from open source code
that runs on Linux,
but that code won't work with the smart card readers built into Sun
Rays.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Paul
