Hi Ashley.

It's as if in Linux when directly plugged in a USB device (e.g.
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Auto_mount_filesystems_(AUTOFS)#Find_an_existing_udev_rule_that_is_launched_after_the_usb_partition_node_is_created
):
.1 detected USB devices will present USB information e.g. manufacturer,
serial#, ...etc.
.2 create a rule to determine if a particular model/serial# (approved vs
disapproved) when plugged in and detected, should it be mounted or not.

It can be easily done in Linux direct USB mounting to the desktop/server.
But can this be done on Sun Ray Thin Clients connected to Solaris/Linux SRSS
OSes?

I could check the RHEL4 based SRSS3.1.1 and see if the plugged in USB -->
SR2/FS will show anything via udev.

But is this 'scenario' any possible in Solaris / SRSS?

thanks,
James
