Hi: I am trying to put a proof of concept for a client
My configuration is: Solaris 10 Server Sun Ray Server Software 4.1 Sun Ray Connector for Windows 2.1 2 SunRay model 170 Connect an HP LaserJet Printer to usb of sunray 170 Create the Printer with the device in /tmp/SUNWut route ( I can see the HP printer and everything) Can print from Solaris Server Can print from Sunray in Solaris session Connect to Terminal Server with /opt/SUNWuttsc/bin/uttsc -m -r hp1200:'HP LASERJET 1200 SERIES PCL' 10.0.0.1 The printer is created in Windows with correct driver without any errors But, when I send a job to the printer in windows ... the job arrives to print manager en in windows, Solaris server told me that is a new job arriving and send the banner page to the printer but the actual job is never printed In /var/spool/lp/logs/requests I can see the job =hp1200-16, uid 101, gid 10, size 58416, Fri Nov 21 18:02:00 2008 z hp1200 C 1 D hp1200 F /var/spool/lp/tmp/localhost/16-1 P 20 T 16-1 t simple U sunray1 S 0x0100 I do not know if is a permission problem or what, I already try with a dot-matrix printer with same behavior The job arrives to the queue in Solaris, Solaris send the banner page to indicate the start of the job but, or all the 58416 bytes received are in a unknown form and are discarded for the printer or driver issues perhaps??
