Hi all I'm using sane backend version 1.0.19 on Solaris 10 11/06 s10x_u3wos_10 X86 to publish my scanner to the network users, I have tow scanners "Fujitsu fi-5120C" which works as charm and "HP Scanjet 5590" which drives me crazy :(
Whin I use command "SUN_LIBUSB_ALLBUS=1 /usr/local/bin/scanimage -L" I get this device `hp5590:libusb:001:03f0_1705' is a HP 5590 Workgroup scanner device `fujitsu:libusb:001:04c5_10e0' is a FUJITSU fi-5120Cdj scanner but whin I try to use the HP scanner by "SUN_LIBUSB_ALLBUS=1 /usr/local/bin/scanimage > image_file" I get this error [hp5590] hp5590_get_ack: USB-in-USB: error getting acknowledge [hp5590] hp5590_control_msg: USB-in-USB: error reading data scanimage: sane_start: Invalid argument [hp5590] hp5590_control_msg: USB-in-USB: error sending control message The scanner (HP 5590) works very good if it attached to the servers itself (not on think client) after some google search I found this mail "http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/sane-devel/2008-April/021861.html"; but I didn't find any solution nither on the same site or anywhere else.
