Hello SunRay-Users,

  A customer's users have a recurring problem with MS Word
2003 in documents with usual tables where some text or whole
table cells have highlighting (i.e. text marked for review
during collaborative writing). I am not sure if it matters
that the table is larger than the visible part of the Word
window (meaning - part of table is usually hidden above or
below the visible view of the document).

  When rendering these tables, MS Word displays them with
the highlight background, then with white background and
again and again. This flickers approx. 10 times a second,
the terminal is nearly unresponsive until either of:
1) for some reason it just stops flickering. Can start
   again, i.e. while scrolling the document;
2) alt+tab or a minimize-click is recognized after a minute
   or two and the Word window gets hidden;
3) uttsc dies. After reconnection the problem is still
   active.

  This condition happens frequently while developing some
documentation, and the customers' techwriters complain a lot.

  I believe some patches from about a year ago should have
fixed certain problems with MS Office programs flickering
when used via uttsc.

  This is a recent setup (4.0 9/07) updated in Jun 2008
(patches 127553-03 core, 127556-02 uttsc); am I wrong to
think that it includes the presumed bugfix and that this
fix doesn't help our bug?

  Can anoyne with the latest (or any) SRSS version check
whether they can reproduce the bug? Just open MSWord, make
a table, bang some text into it, highlight some of it and
scroll the document up and down...
