RDP does not support passing this type of device (not a limitation of uttsc). libUSB would only be useful if you had an application on Solaris or Linux that do the synchronization. In the blackberry world you could use a serial based cradle and map comports but no such solution exists for the iPhone.

You're other options *today* include sync over the air or a USB over IP device available from many different vendors. The next version of Sun Ray Server should offer some other options.
