Just wondering if anyone has come across this before. I received a call yesterday from a user saying his desktop was black and didn't have any icons; the only thing he saw was the launch menu. When I stopped out to take a look, he was telling the truth. He was able to launch programs from the launch menu, but nothing else. If I logged in, everything was fine.
I got his password from him and logged into a test station in my office and everything looked normal. A quick scan of logged in users told me that he wasn't logged in, so I went ahead and terminated the connection in the SunRay GUI; that didn't help either. I eventually just swapped out the terminal and put a note on the old one so it would get placed in a location that user wouldn't be using. Does anyone have any idea what happened or how I would go about fixing this? Thanks
