I didn't see any reply to this on the list, and we are experiencing similar
problems.

We have just built RHEL 5.2 servers and are using SRSS 4.1, when logging in to
the servers via ssh, /etc/profile is sourced as it should. When starting a
Gnome or KDE session via a Sun Ray, /etc/profile is never sourced.

Login shell is either bash or ksh...

Subject: [SunRay-Users] SunRay Client login does not execute .bashrc on RedHat?

We are looking at replacing a number of old X terminals with SunRay.
Borrowed a SunRay and server software for RedHat to do some initial
tests. Got server installed on RedHat AS server. Environment is a shared
private network.

When we log into an account on the SunRay client, the local
~/.bash_profile and ~/.bashrc scripts do not get run. Any idea why?
