Yes!  The command "utresadm" is the way to go for screen resolutions on DTUs.
 You can as well set a specific resolution for default use on a specific DTU,
or only specific when a certain Smartcard (or token) is in use on that DTU,
and so on.  It works pretty well!

Are you using a "uttsc" / Windows session?  Because the color depth through a
RDP session is not managed with "utresadm": you have then to go into the
Windows registry and allow (let's say) color depth manually.  Through a RDP /
uttsc session, it defaults max to 16-bit.
