Hi,

found this conversation, I suddenly today got problems with USB-disk mounts
in all SunRays,

I have checked things mentioned below, and also put the debug in
/etc/init.d/utstorage to "-D 50".

When I attach a USB-disk I get from the log:

"date time" dev_rdd_open [5]: connecting to 10.x.x.x:7777 (the SunRay IP
where I put the USB-disk into)
connect: connection refused
connect: connection refused
connect: connection refused
"date time" dev_rdd_open [5]: failed to connect to Sun Ray RDD.

Thanks,
/Per

When you say you don't see activity in utstoraged.log, does it mean
you don't even see the "servicing " and "sevice END" messages when you
plug in and unplug disks ? Does the logfile data you've given below
correspond to a time the disk was shown in utdiskadm -l ?

Can you check whether the device manager is running (ps -ef | grep utdevmgrd) ?
Can you start up utstoraged in debug mode, plug in a disk and send the output ?
There's a variable named SRMS_DEBUG in /etc/init.d/utstorage. set it
to "-D 50" and restart utstorage as follows.
  /etc/init.d/utstorage stop
  /etc/init.d/utstorage start
