Thanks Jörg, you helped me figure out what I got wrong. The srdsConfig file for the display was empty and the kiosk config was the same as what's in /var/run/opt:
[r...@sunserver7:~]# cat /var/opt/SUNWut/kiosk/\:14/config/srdsConfig [r...@sunserver7:~]# [r...@sunserver7:~]# cat /var/opt/SUNWkio/config/\:14 KIOSK_ENABLED=yes [r...@sunserver7:~]# Guessing that SRDS was wrong, looking over the output of an ldapsearch of the entire directory showed that the SESSION_CONFIG I gave the Token was incorrect (ldapsearch -x -h localhost -b "o=v1,o=utdata" -p 7012). I fixed this up with ' utkioskoverride -s kiosk -c browser -r <PayFlex ID>' and it works ok now. Please check the output of utkiosk -e browser -s and the content of /var/opt/SUNWut/kiosk/:<display-num>/config/srdsConfig and /var/opt/SUNWkio/config/:<display-num> Where <display-num> is the display number of the kiosk session. These are intermediate storage places for the kiosk configuration on its way from SRDS to the /var/run/opt file you found.
