I have noticed really poor performance with my SunRay 1g DTUs when I have then connected to a shared LAN because I have an IPMI module on my server (it filters all UDP traffic looking for IPMI packets...). Setting up a dedicated SunRay interconnect on my second adapter resulted in much better performance. Of course, the shared LAN could have been slow for other reasons such as a crappy router or exceptions in my firewall for dyndns, etc.
