Ok so I have my users configured where their DTU’s connect directly to
a workstation running windows 2003 using the SunRay broker and the Sun
connector for Windows.
I’m also using the demo_kiosk package
Now one of the users needs to connect a USB thumb drive and they are
not seeing the normal windows has detected your device messages.
From the admin Advanced -> Security tab – I see Devices USB port is
enabled.
so I imagine the Sun Box (running the SunRay Server) has mounted the
USB stick someplace and now I need to tell the uttsc connector about
it. Let’s say I want them to see it as the U drive.
The MAC address of the DTU is - 00144fd15c14 so I see on the sunray server
/tmp/SUNWut/units/IEEE802.00144fd15c14/dev/dsk
so what would the uttsc command need to be?
uttsc -r disk:U=/tmp/SUNWut/mnt/$USER..
and can I add it to the other field?
What other field?.
-r disk:<drive name>=<path>,...
Redirects a path to the share \\tsclient\<drive name> on the server.
Then – I’m guessing the user will see it as a drive via windows explorer?
Yes.
Is there a cleanup script to detect when the users has disconnected
the USB device?
No official one AFAICT.
