Hi All,

It' for sure this not a Server 2003 users group. There were some links
pointing to a few places and this was not clear as to what cards Server 2003
liked to work with. I have a few cards to work with on the way. The focus
of the questions was if someone would recommend cards for a heterogeneous
environment. At the moment the smart card technology is aimed at the
SunRay. If someone can recommend resources related to this subject that
would be a appreciated as well. Thank you for your response.

The problem with your question is that "works" is too vague a term. We need to know what do you want to do with your smartcard in order to answer your question. If it's just for hotdesking, then the fact that you're connecting to a Windows session isn't relevant - any smartcard that SRSS recognizes will work.

But if you're trying to do authentication, or some other application using your smartcard, then it depends on smartcard vendor middleware and other factors.

Please describe the smartcard application you envision with Windows Server 2003, and what special software, if any, you have added to your Windows environment to interact with your smartcards.

Can anyone that can spare a few smart cards compat w/ SunRay 2 and Server

What do you mean by "compat w/Server 2003"? Are you asking for cards
that will "work" on Windows? If so, what smartcard middleware are you
running on your Windows box? The middleware is what determines the
types of cards/applets that you need. Or are you just asking for cards to
play with and learn about smartcard technology?
